INSTALLING THE RGM STEP 1: Locating the Connectors INSTALLING THE RGM STEP 2: Installing on Circuit Board INSTALLING THE RGM STEP 3: Rear & Surface Mount F FO OR R RRE EA AR R MMO OU UN NT T A Gently pull the black gain knob off the shaft to remove it B Plug the cord into the RGM control box C Use a &/( size drill bit to make a hole in the surface you wish to mount the knob to D Place the control box behind the panel and insert the knob through the hole E Replace the nut- located in the parts bag- on the shaft by turning it clockwise- and then gently push the knob back onto the shaft F The RGM knob is now controlling the gain of your amplifier F FO OR R SSU UR RF FA AC CE EM MO OU UN NT T A Plug supplied cord into RGM control box B Secure control box to surface where you wish to mount it- with supplied screws C The RGM knob is now controlling the gain of your amplifier The RGM is designed to be adjusted with the use of a control knob A Plug the supplied cord into the RGMs socket on the module board B Turn1off amplifier Remove amplifier cover and locate the Accessory Port C Remove the two header jumpers and locate the missing pin (key) on the port D Align the blocked receptacle on the right angle header connector with the missing pin and press the RGM onto the mounting port E Rotate the amplifiers gain control clockwise (fully) to 567 dB F Run the RGMs cord out of the amp- near the RCA inputs G Replace the amplifiers cover and put the screws back in- to secure it to the baseplate H Run the supplied 9: foot cord to the location in the vehicle where you want to mount the gain knob i il ll lu us st tr ra at ti io on n 99 i il ll lu us st tr ra at ti io on n 66 B BO OT TT TO OM MO OF F R RG GM M C CI IR RC CU UI IT TB BO OA AR RD D T TO OP PO OF F R RG GM M C CI IR RC CU UI IT TB BO OA AR RD D H HE EA AD DE ER RC CO ON NN NE EC CT TO OR R l lo oc ca at ti in ng g k ke ey y R RI IG GH HT TA AN NG GL LE E H HE EA AD DE ER RC CO ON NN NE EC CT TO OR R A Remove the RGM from the packaging and inspect the circuit board B Locate the header connectors soldered onto the top and bottom of the circuit board See illustration 6 C Notice that one of the openings on both header connectors is blocked by white filler material The RGMs mounting system utilizes this blocked receptacle as the key to insure proper positioning when installing the RGM onto the amplifiers mounting port
