2-Way 2-Speaker bookshelf system

The Denton 2 achieves standards of
control and performance associated with far
more complex and expensive systems.

The 200 mm (8) bass unit is ctmnecteil
by 4relement 2-way crossover to a 50 mm (2")
cone tweeter providing good treble dispersion
and transient response.

18 Watt input capacity

_ With acapability ofhandling a maximum
input of 20 watts, the Benton 2 achieves big '
performance from an internal enclosure volume
of only 12.5 litres.

Bass Unit

The 200 mm (8) unit achievesjexcep-
tional efiiciency by means of a long-throw
linear spider" and generous magnet. The cone
is of the rigid paper type. with rubber roll
surround.

Mid-range/Trehle Unit

The light moving massof the tone and
coil is fitted with an integral loading cavity for
minimum distortion in the mid»range. Good
treble dispersion and transient response are
obtained from the CAB. (Cellulose Acetate
Butyrate) cone; this combines great strength
with light weight.

Exclusive Moulded Connector

Wharfedale cabinets incorporate both
DIN socket and screw terminals in this conv
nector, moulded from inert plastic material

With this facility you will always be able to
connect the speaker to any amplifier easily and
quickly.

Frequency Response

Notice the good bass response and con-
sistency across the range of audio frequencies -
but a frequenc response curve is no more than
a guide when c oosing speakers. We invite you
to listen to the Denton 2 and compare it with
other similar size units.

Your Denttm 2 is as pleasing to look at.
as it is to listen to. It looks solid because its
mouldings are solid woods. And the veneers on
the sides and top have been specially selected
by our own expert buyer.

Front mounted speakers

- All the speakers are mounted from the
front to reduce .tunnelling effects and to
facilitate replacement, All Wharfedale cabinets
are filled with carefully measured quantities of
acoustic wadding to minimise cabinet resonance.
