The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol,
within an equilateral triangle, is intended to
alert the user to the presence of uninsulated
"dangerous voltage" within the product's
enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude
to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

The exclamation point within an equilateral
triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of important operating and main-
tenance (servicing) instructions in the literature
accompanying the appliance.

Before use

Caution:

ORemove the transport spacers of the tonearm.

ONever connect the AC power plug before assembly has been
completed.

OAttach the dust cover last, so that assembly and adjustments
can be made most conveniently.

l Remove the transport materials.

To protect the unit from bumps and shocks during transport.
certain parts have been removed from the main unit while others
are held in place by transport materials. These transport
materials must be removed as shown below before the unit is
used for the first time. Be sure to remove the materials in the
order shown below and keep them in a safe place for use if the
unit is shipped again.

I When retransporting the unit

Be sure to follow these steps when preparing the unit for
retransport.

1. Insert the spacers as far as they will go.

2. Remove the rubber cap. (Be sure to store it in a safe place so
that it does not become lost.)

3. Insert the transport pipe in the hole which has been covered
by the rubber cap.

4. Insert the transport screw into the spring washer, then use it
to affix the pipe.

WARNING!
Be sure to follow the above order exactly to avoid causing
permanent damage to the tonearm.

WARN I N G: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock,
do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.

Search operation

Use the search operation to move the tonearm lorward or
backward in either at the following two ways.
(These explanations assume that record play is in progress.)

Using the cueing and search buttons:

Oln this case. the tonearm is automatically lowered when the
search button is released.

The speed of tonearm movement is dltlerent depending on how the search button is pressed.

OBe sure to perform search operation only over records.
Olf a search button is released when the tonearm is outside
a record. the tonearm will be lowered onto the turntable

platter, resulting in serious damage to the stylus.

Repeat play

The repeat mode can be switched on either before or
during record play.

(Possible only for 30 cm (12") and 17 cm (7") diameter
records)

0The repeat indicator illuminates and remains on until the
repeat play mode is cancelled.

To cancel repeat play

OThe repeat indicator goes out. Repeat play is also
cancelled when the start/stop button is pressed to stop
record play.
