THE CONCERT TUNER

With the introduction of the TPT 3011 tuner,
Tandberg has taken another major step in their 50 year effort towards
the total accurate reproduction of music in the home.

Tandberg invested a tremen- ;

dous amount of research and
development time attempting to
design a tuner with much of the
performance, and many of the
features as the state-of-the-art
TPT 3001 yet achieving these
goals in a unit which would sell
for substantially less.

in the TPT 3011 Tandberg has
incorporated a touch sense
servo lock tuning system, 12 bit
microprocessor controlled
memory system for 8 FM presets,
a superbly flexible muting system,
and most importantly uncompro-
mised sound quality.

Much of this sound quality
may be attributed to Tandbergs
recent research and develop-
ment on the selection of

. component pans (capacitors,

resistors, transistors etc.) based
on their sonic characteristics

, and not just their electronic

specifications, as well as the
circuit lay-out.

Many capacitors in the TPT
3011, for example, are expen-
sive selected loll types due to
their ability to pass a signal with
far less distonion than
commonly used electrolytic
and ceramic capacitors.

it is of great interest to note
that even people who ask -Why
should I buy a tuner of this
quality, there is no station avail-
able to me with high quality
broadcast ability? - upon listen-
ing to their local stations on a
TPT 3011 in their home find their
assumption to be wrong.

As the lens of the camera
controls the ultimate quality of
the photograph, so does the
tuner for FM reception.

We at Tandberg suggest that
you listen to a TPT 3011 and
hear FM as FM should be.
