TIR 100 - PORTABLE SEISMIC RECORDING SYSTEM

The above equipment case has been developed to monitor and record vibrations.
specially from blasts and it is based on the "Tandberg Instrumentation Tape
Recorder Series 100'2

The prototype of this equipment was designed for the US market where all deto-
nations have to be monitored and recorded [or later investigations. The TER 100

in the carrying case is operating from its own rechargeable battery in connection
with the "Tandberg DC/AC Inverter 111'2 A geophone comprising three accelero-
meters measuring along two horizontal and one vertical axes is placed on the
ground where vibrations are to be monitored The signals from the three accelero-
meters are recorded on channels No. 1, 2, and 3 respectively. Channel No. 4
serves two purposes: Comments (voice) may be recorded prior to or after the
blast. while during the blast period and analogue signal representing the sound
pressure may be recorded from a calibrated microphonei
