-Control thebass andtreble withthecontrols
marked BassandTreble.
NOTE! Thecontrols willonly work when the
Tone Defeat button isreleased (out).
At low volume theearisless sensitive to
low tones. Tocompensate forthe ear's
lower sensitivity, pushinthe Loudness button.
This causes thelow tones tobereproduced louder
in relation tothe other tones.
The operation ofthe loudness facilityis
dependent onthe volume. Thegraphs (page39)
show theeffect ofthe loudness facilityfor
different positions ofthe Volume control.
- When theTone Defeat button ispressed in,a
flat frequen
responseisobtained regardless
of the position ofthe bass andtreble controls.
NOTE! TheLoudness facilityisnot affected by
the position ofthe Tone Defeat button.
Tone control selectors
100Hz/200Hz
The basscontrol normally affectsfrequencies up
to 200 Hz.
- When the100Hz/200Hz buttonispressed in
the bass control onlyaffects frequencies upto
100 Hz.
This facility provides abetter chance tocompen-
sate forreduced bassresponse inthe speakers. In
addition itcan beused toreduce acoustic
feedback inthe room.
The treble control normally startstotake effect
at 3kHz.
- When the6kHz/3kHz buttonispressed inthe
treble control startstotake effect at6kHz.
This facility provides abetter chance tocompen-
sate forreduced trebleresponse inthe speakers
and theroom.
