input level oi the returned signal by means at the lower
RECORD LEVEL L or R knob.
Echo ellects can also be produced on programmes led
to the line or phono input tor the channel not receiving
the returned signal. Set the input selector tor this
channel to LINE or PHONO. depending on the pro-
gramme source. Press the recording and playback but-
tons lor the same channel and move the operating
lever to -». The indicator tor the recording channel will
now be illuminated.
When recording from a microphone. speak into to mi-
crophone and adjust the level to give the correct indi-
cator needle delleclion. Start recording by pressing
the START/STOP button. Carefully turn up the lower
RECORD LEVEL knob lor the channel receiving the re
turned signal. The increasing echo effect passing to
the tape can be monitored by means of the headphones
or loudspeaker.
NB: Do not turn up the lower RECORD LEVEL knob
so high that the echo becomes distorted.

Stereo

For echo ellects in stereo lollow the same procedure
as lor mono. with the lollowing exceptions:

Connect two microphones to the tape recorder and con-
nect phono leads lrorn OUTPUTS L and R to their re-
spective LINE INPUTS L and H. Connect the head-
phones to the HEADPONES output. Set the input selec-
tors to the LINE position. Adjust OUTPUT LEVEL L and
Ft to position 6 (maximum). Adjust the level at returned
signals by means ol the lower RECORD LEVEL L and R
knobs. Only the microphone inputs can be used tor
stereo echo.
