sulting in better tape economy
as lower tape speeds can be
used for high quality sound re-

The conventional method of using
tape with o thinner magnetic
coating for extending frequency
range upwards. led to an increase
of the relative noise level. Using
tape with normal coating thick-
ness, Tandberg 1600X will give
you improved lrequency response
at no seditice ot dynamic range.
