PREFACE

This manual covers the 2-track and 4-track versions
of Tandberg Stereo TapeRecorder Series 1200K. The
two versions have the same tape transport.All circuits
are transistorized. Cross-field biasing technique is
utilized. Separate amplifier-star microphone- and line
inputs, equalizing amplifiers and output amplifiersare
provided for each channel. Units above serial number
2 252 600 are adjusted for Low Noise tape. Pick- up
selector was introduced from serial number 2 237 000.
The various modifications of Series 1200)( since pro-
duction started are listed in chapter 6.0.

The description of all electric circuits except the po-
wer supply is referred to circuit diagram valid from
serial no. 2 237 000.
