The SRM-l/Mk2 driver unit has been expressly devel-
oped to bring out the maximum performance of STAX
electrostatic earspeakers. lts direct drive circuit elimi-
nated the conventional step-up transformer which may
limit sonic quality. The simple two-stage amplification
with no coupling capacitors results in detailed, natural
sound reproduction. in combination with the SR-
Lambda or the SR-X/Mk3, the SRM-l/Mk2 serves, not
to mention as the optimum tool to appreciate music,
various purposes; to check the quality of your hi-fi
system, to adjust the tonal balance in a multi-amplifier
system or to monitor sound when recording. The
SRM-l/Mk2 connects to your preamplifier, tuner or
tape deck and not to the speaker terminals of a power
amplifier - another advantage to the sonic quality.

The SRM-l le2 has two connecting sockets for STAX
earspeakers. The auxiliary terminals on the rear panel
of the SRM-l/MkZ can provide other equipments with
its input signal.
