Features

The SONY model ST~80F is an incrediblycompact solld~state
stereo tuner. With it, you can enjoy a radio program and simulv
taneously record it with your tape recorder by using the two pairs
of outputs.

The ST-SOF features a circular dial scale for easy reading, a fer-
rite bar antenna for a~m reception, an ac power-line antenna for
fm reception, a TUNING meter for accurate tuning of fmlarm
stations, and an AFC switch for stable fm reception.

The circuit uses a solidrstate filter instead of conventional tuned
circuits to increase the tuners selectiVIty and long-term stability,
The use of a FET in the fm front end permits reception of weak
signals without interference from strong adjacent stations,

Notice on Operating Voltage and Frequency

The SONY Model ST-80F comes in two types

For use in U.S.A. and CANADA
In compliance with the Safety rules of UL and CSA, the set is
fixed to operate on ac 117 V, 60 Hz.

For use in OTHER COUNTRIES

The set can be adjustable for operating on either ac 100, 117.
220 or 240 V, 50 or 60 Hz. See the voltage and line frequency
indicated on the carton box If you want to operate the ST-8OF
on difierent ac voltage or line frequency, consult your nearest
SONY dealer.

Preparing for Use
Unpacking

All SONY equipment comes to you carefully packed in cartons
designed to withstand the rigors of shipment. Do not throw this
carton or associated packing material away; they will come in
handy if you ever have to transport or ship the ST~8OF.

Inspect your STvSOF immediately for signs of damage incurred
in transit and make sure to check whether the connecting cord
RK-74 is supplied with your set, lf damage has occurred, consult
your local SONY dealer for further instructions. Once again, save
all packing material; it will substantiate your damage claim.
