Precautions

On safety

Should any solid object or liquid fall
into the cabinet, unplug the recorder
and have it checked by qualified
personnel before operating it any
further.

On power sources

- Operate the recorder only on

120 V AC, 60 Hz.

The recorder is not disconnected
from the AC power source as long
as it is connected to the wall outlet,
even ifthe recorder itself has been
turned off.

If you are not going to use the
recorder for a long time. be sure to
disconnect the recorder from the
wall outlet. To disconnect the AC
power cord, grasp the plug itself;
never pull the cord.

On placement

- Place the recorder in a location
with adequate ventilation to
prevent heat buildup in the
recorder.

If the recorder is brought directly
from a cold to a warm location, or
is placed in a very damp room,
moisture may condense on the
lenses inside the recorder and
cause damage to the video head,
tape, and the optical block. Should
this occur. the recorder may not
operate properly. When you first
install the recorder, or when you
move it from a cold to a warm
location, remove the disc and tape
and leave the recorder turned on
for about three hours befoie
operating the recorder.

Do not place the recorder on a soft
surface such as a rug that might
block the ventilation holes.

Do not place the recorder in a
confined sp such as a bookshelf
or similar unit.

Do not place the iecorder in a
location near heat sources. or in a
place subject to direct sunlight,
excessive dust. or mechanical
shock.
