SERVICING NOTE

Flexible Circuit Board Repairing

0 Keep the temperature of the soldering iron around
270°C during repairing.

0 Do not touch the soldering iron on the same con-
ductor of the circuit board (within 3 times).

0 Be careful not to apply force on the conductor
when soldering or unsoidering.

Notes on chip component replacement

0 Never reuse a disconnected chip component.
0 Notice that the minus side of a tantalum capacitor
may be damaged by heat.

Set the radlo lollowing steps 1 lo 5 so that the radio is turned on
automatically by the supersonic wave sensor.

[I Set POWER to ON.
El Select FM or AM with the BAND selector.
El Adjust volume.
[I Adjust tuning.
B Set POWER lo STANDBY.
The supersonic wave sensor will function in about 5
seconds.
® RESET button
Press to turn oil the radio temporarily when it has
been turned on by the supersonic wave sensor. The
sensor will not function tor about 5 seconds after this
button is pressed.
® TUNE indicator
llluminales when a signal is received.

Adjust the amount of time length (between approx. 3
to 30 minutes) that you wish the radio to stay on after
it has been turned on by the supersonic wave sensor.
The radio will be turned olt automatically.
TIMER SET does not function when the radio has
been turned on by setting POWER to ON.

To turn all the radio completely, set POWER to OFF

To use this radio without the supersonic wave
sensor

To turn on the radio: set POWEFl to ON,

To turn on the radio' set POWER to OFF.
