Chapter 1 - Whats New?
The popular fifth generation Sony DVD players introduced for the years 2\
001 and 2002 are physically and
electrically different from previous generation players; they have great\
er appeal and are lower in cost.
Physical Differences
The single disc players are thinner than the previous fourth generation \
models and take up less vertical space.
Some models are available in both black and silver (same model number)\
to blend with different decors. Two
models, DVP-F25 and DVP-F41, have slot type loading (like a car CD play\
er) which makes them smaller; they
can also be played horizontally or vertically; a pedestal base can be at\
tached to the side for vertical mounting, as
in Figure 1-1.
