In the early t97o's the cassette lorrnat
was lranslonned into a high-lldelrty
recording medium, largely because at a
new system to reduce noise: a-type
Dolby noise reduction. or Dolby B' lor
snort. Now with advances in disc and
recording technology such as digital and
direct-to-disc mastering, the dynamic
range ol today's music sources is
greater than ever. Additional improve-
ments in cassette deck pertormance
have become necessary. In response to
these demands comes a new noise
reduction system. the latest product ol
Dolby Laboratories. it is called Dolby c,

The immediate and most obvious
etlect ol Dolby C is a startling reduction
1 noise. Not only wtll it make your
recordings quieter in the middle
trequencles. but an astonishing ZOdB
quieter at lrequancies higher than 2kHz.
where inherent tape hiss is at its most
disturbing. Sound is impeccably clean.
Music is heard against a background
at silence.

But Dolby C does even more, It
reduces noise in a significantly
expanded frequency range. it Incorpo-
rates anti-saturation circultry to dramati-
cally improve high-frequency dynamic
range - by Acts at tokl-lz. As a result.
setting oi the record levels is less
critical. Finally the dynamic action at
Dolby C has been adjusted to dramati-

AMS allows you to skip lorward or back~
ward to lind the selection at your choice.

Memory Cue and Memory Play

Digital Linear Counter. and automatically
stop or play. Auto Play enables you to

replay a portion ol the tape up to nine

optional RM-SO remote control or the
