7 AM IF BAND WIDTH Switch

8 FM IF BAND WIDTH Switch

You can select the IF bandwidth between WIDE (wide band) and

NARROW (narrow band) for your FM and AM reception.

WIDE: Select this position when the station you desire is free of
interference from neighboring station. FM and AM recep-
tion can then be a enjoyed with optimum tonal quality,
because of the wide IF band width.

NARROW: Select this position when your desired station suffers in-
terference from neighboring stations. The selectivity will
then be high and interference will be effectively dimi-
nished.

9 FM MUTING Switch

The built-in muting circuit eliminates the irritating noise heard while
you are tuning from one FM station to another. Since it also eliminates
weak signals, set the FM MUTING switch to OFF to receive faraway
stations with faint signals. Keep it at ON at all other times.

10 FM AUTO NOISE FILTER Switch
When set to ON, it automatically reduces the noise, heard when receiv-
ing faint-signal FM stations. Reception quality will then be improved.

11 CALIBRATION TONE Switch

This switch helps you set the appropriate recording level when re-
cording an FM broadcast. When set to ON. it activates the build-in
test~signal generator.
