Thank you for selecting the Sansui SR-4050C Two-Speed Auto Up Stop/
Manual Turntable. In doing so, we feel youve made an excellent choice, one
that promises you many years of rich musical enjoyment.

As an audio-only specialist, Sansui is recognized worldwide for the unsurpas-
sed quality of its products, be they turntables, stereo receivers, speaker sys-
tem or headphone sets, and takes the greatest measures to merit and maintain
this reputation.

The SR-4050C is no exception. We have not overlooked a single detail in
bringing it to you in perfect operating condition. Featuring the oil-damped
delay-motion lifter and automatic after-play arm lift and shut-off, the SR-
4050C eliminates all danger of accidental damage to the stylus or records
through the manual handling.

It is now up to you to assemble the'turntable properly and to keep it working
perfectly. This manual has been prepared to help you do just that. Please
read it carefully.

Learn how to assemble, balance and operate the turntable first. Youll then be

4. Adjust the stylus pressure as indicated on page
S. The correct stylus pressure is 2 grams.

5. Check to see if the cartridge is upright as
viewed from the front. If it is not, the shell can be
rotated. Turn the shell as reguired, while holding
the tonearm firmly.

Dust Cover
1. Position the dust cover as illustrated below:

2. Fit the round flat heads of the base hinge pins
into the square groaves of the dust cover metal plates
and then slide the dust cover in the direction of the

arrow until it stops.

and pull dust cover

3. Slide the dust cover in the direction of the arrow
into place.
