With the Sansui SDM-l unidirectional dynamic microphone, you
can get the full performance capabilities of your tape deck. Since
the SDM-l picks up sound from the front While canceling undesired
noises arriving from the back and sides, you can control the effect
of objectionable background noise and highly reverberent room
acoustics. Further, when making the stereophonic recording of
a musical group, for example, you can isolate individual sections or
instruments and get greater flexibility of sound balance.

The Sansui SDEVI -1 has these special features:

Sansui SD--7000 and other high-quality tape decks.
O Unidirectional design... .advantageous for suppressing undesired
noises arriving from other than the front and for reducing the sound

especially where ruggedness is required.
