One has to look back over 128 years. It
started in a small workshop in the Black
Forest, Deed and patent bear evidence
of the time. Even the greatgrandfather of

the present SABA family pledged himself

to progress. precision and quality. Today
there are nearly 4,000 men and women
on the SABA payroll. In addition to the
parent works at Villingen. Black Forest.
there is the No, 3 plant at Friedrichshafen.

In 1835 SABA was still a workshop.
Production was confined to precision
components for the Black Forest clock
industry. In 1923 wireless took the world
by storm, Girded with the performance-
proved principle of quality, SABA tool?
the plunge into the new, unknown
industry and ardour bore the fruits of
success. Within a few years SABA radio
receivers were prized for their quality
and praised for their tonality. SABA
television sets saw light of day in 1950,
and shortly afterwards SABA introduced
their epoch-making fully automatic tape
recorder with electronic push-button
controls.

SABAAUTOMATIC

a world-wide success

SABA launched their automatic radio
back in 1939. To this day it is an invention
that remains unparalleled in the world.
The electronic miracle-master performs
three functions unaided: The station is
silently selected, the set is accurately
tuned to the desired station. and the
SABA Automatic does the fine tuning
with sharpness and precision unattainable
by manual control.

SABAVISION

Line-free Televiewing

On 4th July 1961 SABA introduced their
SABAVISION. They were thus the first
and only German television manufacturers
to come out with the image, free from line
structure. The press was unanimous in
its praise of this unique advancement.

Since decades the SABA quality principle
has been a matter of course, and has
proved itself to be surest, soundest
guarantee. Moreover, owners of SABA
equipment are served by a world-wide
service organization, tailored to their
