STEREO CASSETTE TAPE DECK RMD-82

INTRODUCTION

We at Hotel went to thank you lor purchasing
our audio product.

Rotal audio products are designed to use the

Before starting operation, please read this
instruction manual thorouyrly and acquaint
yourself with the proper mode ol using the unit
and all its connections.

INSTALLAHON

Be sure to place the unit in a level and flat place
where it is Iree lrom humidity, vibration, high
temperature and not exposed to direct sunlight.
Be careful not to place the unit in a highly
enclosed place such as near a well or on a
bookshelf. A poor ventilation will cause under
sirable allects to the unit.

POWER SUPPLY

The HMO-82 is designed to receive power only
through the special power supply socket on the
rear panel 01 the HOTEL receiver RMX~82.
Plug the power cord 01 the HMO-82 into the
power supply socket of the RMX~82. Never et~
tempt to connect the HMO-82 power cord to a
wall outlet or convenience outlet in other audio
components.

CONNECTION TO RECEIVER HMX-82

Two pairs of RCA cords Ior LINE IN/OUT ex-
tend out lrorn the rear panel 01 the cassette
deck. The cord from the LINE IN terminals 0!
the deck should be plugged into the TAPE
MONITOR OUT terminal of the RMX-82. and
the cord lrom LINE OUY terminal to the TAPE
MONITOR IN terminal. RCA cords with white
plug are for Ielt channel (L) connection, and
cords with red plugs are for right channel (R).

CAUTION

As long as the power cord is plugged into
the RMXABZ, power is supplied to the unit
regardless ol the setting or the Standby
Button.

CASSETTE TAPES

- To prevent possible trouble with the trans
port mechanism, use 0! large size casette tapes,
such as (>120. is not recommended.

0 Handle cassette tapes with care. Keep
them away lrorn heat, circulating dust, or a
magtelic Iield (e.g. on the TV set).

e Each casette tape has salety tabs on its
back edge to prevent accidental re-recording.
The tabs are provided for both sides of cassette
tape You cannot record on the side whose tab
has been removed. The tab can be removed
wrth a screwdriver, etc. It you wish to record
on the side with no tab. place a piece of adhe~
sive tape. etc. over the opening where the tab
has been, then you can record.

0A loosened tape may cause trouble in
playback or recording. Check the tape belore
loading it into the deck. II it is slack, insert a
pencil or the like into either ol caesette's hubs.
and rotate it carelully until the slack is taken

AUTOMATIC SH UTOFF SYSTEM

To protect the RMDSZ motor and transport
mechanism against unnecessary wear. an auto-
matic shutoll device has been built into the
unit. When either end at rape is reached in
play, record, lest-forward, or rewind mode, the
motor and mechanism will automatically shut
o", disengaging the present mode.
