INSTALLATION

Be sure to place the unit in a level and llat place

AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF SYSTEM

To protect the R0560 motor and transport
mechanism against unnecessary wear, an auto-
matic shutolt dance has been built into the
unit. When either and 01 tape is reached in
play. record, lxtvlarward, or rewind mode. the
motor and mechmlsm will automatically shut
off. disengaging the present mode

POWER SUPPLY CONNECTION

For power the unit requires the normal house
electrical wrrent (AC). You may simply plug
the unit into a wall outlet, or into your ampli-
tier's switched or unswitchcd AC outlet. ll It is
plugged into a matched outlct, by leaving the
power switch ot the unit on, you will be able to
maintain switching control tor the RID-560
With your emolltiar. ll it is connected to
an unswitched outlet, like connecting to a wall
outlet. you must use the RD-560's own power
switch lor switching control.

CAUTION: Do not apply power Without Irrst

pleted. ll you live in UK. and your unit comes

EXCLUSIVE NOTE FOR U.K.

CASSETTE TAPES

I To prevent possihll- trouble with the trans~
port mechanism, use of large size cassette terms.
such as C-IZO, is not recommended.

- Handle cassette tapes with care. Keep them
away lrorn heat, circulating dust, or a magnetic
lield le.g. on the TV setl.

- Each cassette tape has salety tabs on its
back edge to prevent accidental re»recording,
The tabs are provided for both sides of Cassfltw
tape. Vou cannot record on the side whose. tah
has been removed. The tab can be removed
