We would like to take this opportunity to
thank you for purchasing the Rotel RC-
2000 Control Amplifier.

The RC-2000 offers superb audio quality,
based on Rotel's many years of experience,
and the newest and most advanced tech,
nology in electronics design.

We sincerely believe the FlC-ZOOO will meet
with the full satisfaction of the owner.
Before connecting your system to a power
source, we hope you will read this instruc-
tion manual in order to enjoy the full per-
formance of this component for many years
to come.

ElBEFORE ENJOYMENT

For safety's sake, keep in mind the follow-
ing cautions.

1. Do not connect the unit to the power
source without other components connect-
ed to the unit beforehand.

2. Before plugging into the AC outlet,
make sure the power switch is off, and the
volume control is set at minimum.

3. Do not connect non-audio electric appli-
ances to the convenience AC outlets on rear
panel.

4. Do not connect any electric appliances
which have wattage more than the rated
value indicated for each outlet on the rear
panel.

Note: Before normal operation, the relay
protection circuit works for about seven
seconds after turning the power on. No
sound will come out during this time.

Sie die Anlage ans Netz anschliessen, damit
Sie die volle Leistung dieses Gerats viele
Jahre geniessen werden.

El VOR DEM GEBRAUCH

Befolgen SieausSicherheitsgriinden folgande
Anweisungen:

1. Schliessen Sie das Gerat erst ans Netz,
nachdem alle anderen Komponenten ans
Gerat angeschlossen sind.

2. Vor dem Einstecken in die Wechselstrom-
Wandstackdose versichern Sie sich, class der
Netzschalter ausgeschaltet ist und der Laut-
starkeragler auf der Minimumstellung staht.
3. Schliessen Sie keine anderen elektri-
schen Gerate als HiFi-Komponenten an die
eingebauten Netzsteckdosen dieses Ver-
stérkers.

Anmerkung: Beim Einschalten des Stroms
wird fiir ungefahr sieben Sekunden eine
Relaisschutzschaltung eingeschaltet.
Wahrend dieser Zeit wird daher kein Ton zu
hbren sein.

IE] LOCATING THE UNIT

Be sure to place the unit on a level and flat
place where it is free from humidity, vibra-
tion, high temperature and not exposed to
direct sunlight.

Be careful not to place the unit in a highly
enclosed place such as near a wall or on a
bookshelf. Poor ventilation will cause uncle
sirable effects to the unit.

This unit can be mounted on an ElA/EIJ
standard audio-rack. We recommend rack
mounting for convenience in operation.
Before mounting on the rack, be sure to
read through the rack-mounting instruc-
tions. Secure the unit firmly to the rack.

GERAETES

Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerét auf eine
flache und horizontale Oberflache gestellt
wird, wo es vor Feuchtigkeit, Erschiitte-
rungen, Hitze und direktem Sonnenlicht
geschfitzt ist.

Setzen Sie das Gerét nicht an eine Stalle, wo
es zu nahe umschlossen wird, wie 2.5. nahe
an eine Wand oder auf ein Biichergestell.
Eine schalechte Beliiftung kann uner-
wijnschte Folgen haben:

Dieses Gerfit kann in ein EIA/ElJ-Norm-
Gestell eingebaut warden. Wir empfehlen
den Einbau in ein Gestell fiir bequeme
Bedienung. Vor dem Einbau ins Gestell
lesen Sie die Einbauanleitung sorgfa'ltig
durch, Machen Sie das Gerét im Gestell
gut fest.

CONNECTIONS TO THE
REAR PANEL

There are right and left phases for all of the
various source inputs and power output
connections to the main amplifier. Be sure
to connect terminals marked L or R to the
corresponding terminals of other com-
ponents. Please use the attached RCA-type
cables when connecting the unit to the
main amplifier.

Hauptverstfirker gibt es linke und rechte
Phasen. Achten Sie darauf, die mit R und
L bezeichneten Klemmen mit den ant»
sprechenden Klemrnen der anderen Geréte
zu verbinden. Fiir den Anschluss an den
Hauptverstérker verwenden Sie bitte den
mitgelieferten RCA-Verbindungsstecker.
