BEFORE ENJOYMENT/POWER SUPPLY

Follow the Instructions below Ior mairimum salety:

1. Use a wall outlet Ior power supply

Be sure to connect the AC line cord to a household wall
outlet Be certain that the outlet voltage matches the
electrical rating ol the unit. lound on the rear panel name
plate.

2 Connecting and removing AC card

Be sure to connect or disconnect the AC line cord only alter
turning oil the power swrtch to prevent possible shock noise
or damage to the speakers.

3. Ventilete the unit well

Never block any ventilation holes at the top and bottom 01
the unit. Be sure also to prowde ample ventilation space
around the unit. Poor vertilation may result in damage due
to excessive heat

4. Do not open the cabinet

In order to avoid electric shock or damage to the component,
never open the cabinet. ll 3 loreign Obtecl lalls inside the
unit by mistake, turn the power oll. disconnect the wall plug,
and consult a qualilied EIBCNICIBI'I or your dealer

5. Installation

Be sure to place the unit in a level and llai place where it
is free lrorn humidity, Vibration, high temperature and not
exposed to direct sunlight. Be carelul not to place the unit
in a highly enclosed place such as near a Wall or on a
hookshell A poor ventilation Will cause undesrrahle ellects
to the unit.

6. Moving the unit

When transporting remove the AC cord lrorn the wal!
outlet and all other connected cords on the rear panel to
prevent Wire breakage and short circuits

7. It the unit gets wet

ll the unit should get wet, immediately disconnect the AC
cord, and consult your dealer or a qualitied electncran

8. Cleaning and maintenance

Do not use chemicals such as benzine or thinners on the
tram panel Always use a solt, dry cloth to clean the unit,

SPEAKERS

Use speaker systems With impedance ratingsol4-l60hms.
Belore hooking up your speaker system, be sure to check
its impedance, which should be indicated either on the
back ol the speaker, or in the speaker instruction manual.

HOOKING UP SPEAKERS

swnched speaker connection

The direct sockets, in keeping with our de5ign philosophy,
incorporate "straight line" signal paths When using
headphones loi private lislenlng it Will be necessary to
disconnect your loudspeaker leads lrom the amplilier
connection instructions are shown in diagram 'A.

EXCLUSIVE NOTE FOR U.K.

if your unit comes with a 3-core cable without a
plug, make certain live. neutral and earth leads are
connected to the proper terminals. Check that the
terminals are screwed down firmly and no loose
strands of wire are present.

IMPORTANT: The wires in this mains lead are coloured
in accordance with the following code:
GREEN/YELLOW: EARTH

BLUE : NEUTRAL

BROWN : LIVE

As the colours ol the wires in the mains lead of. this
apparatus may not correspond with the coloured
markings identilying the terminals in your plug
proceed as lollows. The wire which is coloured
GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal
in the plug which is marked by the letter E or by
the safety earth symbolé, or coloured GREEN or
GREEN/YELLOW. The wire which is coloured BLUE
must be connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter N or coloured BLACK. The wire which
is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.
