MOUNTING THE CHASSIS

(l) The wooden mounting board, on
whichthe chassis willbe mounted,
should have a thickness of /z" to
Z", For Cutting out the space re~
quired for the record changer and
drilling the holes for fastening the
chassis,use the template included
widi this Manual. All dimensions
and check measures should be
strictly followed The edges of the
cutout must be perfectly smooth.

Having completed the mounting
board, insert the chassis. The
chassis springs (5) rest in the

holes (K). (See enclosed template.)

(2) The record changer should NEVER
be shipped with the heavy cast
turntable on it. When shipping
unit, use the original carton with
the foam insert to insure the unit
will arrive undamaged.

springs and that there are no protruding
parts which are likely to hamper the
motion of the mechanism and the lead
wires.

If the changer after having been in-
stalled is to be transported again,
secure it to the mounting board by
means of 2 round head wood screws
through the 2 holes at the front and
rear of the chassis plate which are ex-
posed when the heavy turntable is
removed. Fiber washers should be used
under the head of the screws so that
the suriace is not marred. The tone
arm should be fastened to the support
by means of rocker lever K (Fig.2) but
could also be secured by means of a
rubber band. The heavy turntable should
always be packed separately and
should never he shipped on the mech--
anism.
