The SX-626 stereo receiver is one of Pioneers great stereo values.
In one attractive, well-designed package, it offers the hi-fi enthusiast
everything he could possibly desire in a medium-range power unit.
Including up to 110 watts of power (at 4 ohms), an FM tuner sec-
tion of excellent selectivity and sensitivity, high signal-to-noise ratio,
and two tape monitor circuits that permits tape-to-lape duplicating.
The SX-626 is powerful enough to operate a pair of large speakers,
vet its also versatile enough to handle small- and medium-range
speakers for the man whos investment in stereo must be budgeted.

PM TUNER SHTIUN

The SX-blh has an [M tuner section equipped with the
very latest solid state circuitry, including an HET and 4-
gang \iariahle capacitor in the. front end section. and a
double tuningi circuitry in the RF section. Both are well
actuated for obtaining an ('\((ll(ill sensitivity of any and
SOlOCllVIly rated at more than 7(idB. The tuner section
also employs three integrated Circuits llet in the IF am-
plifier sec lion, and these are very much responsible for the
efficient capture ratio rated at 2.3 dB.

To eliminate unwanted signals and to ensure excellent se-
lectiwty, an AGC (Automatic Gain Control) amplifier is
employed in the first stage of the AM tuner section. Superb
sensitivity is also maintained throughout this section by
the use of a ferrite bar antenna and RF amplifier.

The SX-hzb from Pioneer incorporates all silicon transistors
and quasi-coplimentary single-ended push-pull circuitry to
afford total performance over all important characteristics
such as frequency response, power bandwidth, harmonic
distortion and signal-to-noise ratio. Maximum power out-
put at 4 ohms is up to 110 watts, more than enough to
power the worlds finest hi-fi speakers, more than enough
to fill even an extra-large room with quality sound. Addi-
tionally, an lFT (field effect transistor) is employed in the
first stage of the control amplifier section to obtain high
input impedance, and noise-free sound reproducticm.
