1. FRONT PANEL FACILITIES POWER INDICATOR O powen swrrcH Depress this switch to turn power on to the SG-530. Be- cause this switch is connected to the secondary winding of the power transformer, power is still supplied to the pri- mary winding even when the power switch is returned to the STAND-BY ( t] ) position. Always unplug the power cord from the wall socket when the SG-530 is not going to be used for a long time. @ OCTAVE CONTROLS Move these controls above or below the center (zero) posi- tion to boost or attenuate the corresponding frequency bands by up to 110d8 as shown in the figure below. The seven frequency bands are centered at 60H2, 150H2, 400H2, 1k{z, 2.4kHz, 6kHz and 1 SkHz. r00 1 k lok FREOUENCY lN (Hz) Octave control variation curves CH l0 8 66!4 w2(.nzo ?z!'+t6 610 @ RoaproR/TAPE oN/oFF swtrcH Depress this switch when listening to the tape deck con- nected to the rear panel TAPE terminals. In the ON posi- tion, only the signal from the TAPE PLAY terminals en- ters the equalizer. In the OFF position, only the signal from the EOUALIZER INPUT terminals enters the equalizer. @ EoUALIZER SWITCH o Press the right-hand EOUALIZER switch to compensate for the frequency response of the signals entering the EOUALIZER INPUT(E) terminals. The compensated signals are then made available from the EOUALIZER OUTPUT (F*ll terminals as the output signals. o Press both switches when recording signals which have been compensated by the SG-530. The compensated sig- nals are then made available from the EOUALIZER OUTPUT (F.;nl lsr.ntinsls and ADAPTOR/TAPE @ teminals. The same source signals are output at the ADAPTOR/TAPE r@ terminals as the signals entering the INPUT lE) terminals. When the front panel's ADAPTOR/TAPE switch is pushed to the ON position, the signals entering the ADAPTOR/TAPE @ terminals are made available at the OUTPUT (rill) terminals. Use this when connecting a second tape deck or connecting an adaptor component such as a mic mixing amplifier. When a tape deck has been rook connected, the front panel's ADAPTOR/TAPE switch func tions as a tape monitor switch. 2 2) OCTAVE CONTROLS il: .- - _---- llr:::- lElEl : j,, r*t IT"t- I| (rr*$ t*"*"^'*"'"I l:-l l-l l-l l-l l-l l-l l-l l-:-1 lrl l-l l-l l-l l-ll-l l-: " t-" ;:E=E=E-E=E=E=E=,=E=E=H=E=E=E=E= = '-''-''-''|-l l-l l-l l-l l- "-l l-l l-l l-l l-l l-l l-l l- " fnt 6 -t t_t t-t t- l||lL.: _l l_l l_l l_l l_l l-l l=l l_ i_' r-r r-r r-r r-r r-r r-, ,- - rsr uuuu-u-u-u-'"-Urli-ll-Ll-Url-Li-': I )POWER SWITCH (3) ADAPTOR/TAPE (4)EOUALIZER SWI ON/OFF SWITCH 150H2 4O0Hz 1k{z2.4kHz 6kHz
