Auto-Return Mechanism Turntable with Precision 4-Pole Synchronous Motor.

Pioneer's PL-1150 is a precision turntable solution for
the audiophile who seeks key automatic lunctions along
with outstanding tonal quality trom record reproduction.

workmanship, the PL-1150 features a speed-detecting
auto-return mechanism that returns its tonearm to rest
smoothly even with a warped record, a sensitive S-shaped
pipe-arm with anti-skating device, and a howling-tree

SPEED-OETECTING AUTO-RETURN
MECHANISM

The PL-115D uses a speed-detecting
auto-return mechanism that offers preci-
sion operation while it returns the

tonearm to its rest position smoothly.
This mechanism operates perfectly even
during playback of warped records.

HIGH-SENSITIVE S-SHAPED PIPE-
ARM WITH ANTI-SKATING DEVICE

An angular-contact bearing is employed
at the revolving point of the tonearm's
ball-bearing which ensures that the
precision tonearm and its easy-to-oper-
ate anti-skating device can trace record
grooves faithfully during playback, either
vertically or horizontally. with even light
stylus pressure cartridges. The turntable
is also equipped with a direct-readout
stylus pressure counterweight. used for
weight adjustment and easy replace-
ment of cartridges.

CONVENIENT CUEING DEVICE

The viscouydamped cueing device is
connected to the arm elevation lever to
help prevent damage to both stylus and
your records often caused by misopera-
tion.

The turntable platter and tonearm are
fixed to the chassis of the PL-tlso.
suspended from the surface panel with
Springs. The motor is fixed to the surface
panel with a rubber cushion. Then there
are further improvements used to con-
tribute to outstanding tonal quality and
exact record reproduction. such as
insulators composed of butyl rubber
and natural rubber that prevent vibration
conveyed from the floors of your listen-
ing room. The cabinet of the PL-lISD is
elegantly styled in attractive walnut
grain finish.

BELT-DRIVE SYSTEM WITH 4-POLE
SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR

The precision 4-pole synchronous motor.
free from fluctuation in line voltage and
load. drives the turntable platter with a
strong. polished polyurethane belt. with
the combination of these features add-
ing up to flawless record reproduction.
The slightest vibration from the motor
is absorbed. and thus the PL-ttSD's
performance specifications are first-

rate- wow and flutter of 0.07% (WRMS)
and signal-to-noise ratio of 50d8.

OTHER IMPORTANT FEATURES
(1) The inside of the bottom panel is
lined with aluminum foil in order to pre-
vent SIN deterioration caused by induc-
tion hum emanating from the motor and
transformer.

(2) The PL-llSD uses a light, strong
plug-in type aluminum headshell.

(3) A low-stray capacitance phono cord
is standard equipment.

(4) A lateral balancer is provided to
enhance both the horizontal and vertical
sensitivity of the tonearm.

(5) A detachable acryl dust cover is
hinged in a free-stop fashion for ease
of lifting and lowering.

(6) A convenient headshell stand is
provided on the surface panel.
