OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for buying this Pioneer stereo turntable.

Please read through these operating instructions and then
you will know how to operate your model propely. After
you have finished reading the instructions, put them away
in a safe place for future reference.

These operating instructions are based on the model HET,
and they can be used for the HBT and 8/6 models. The
differences between the models are given below.

Power Requirements
HET, HBT models: AC 220/240Vmiswitchable), 50, 60Hz
S/G model: A0110/120/220/240V'viswitchableI, 50, 60Hz

NOTE:

Read through the section on the "LINE VOLTAGE SELECTOR
SWITC " before using your turntable and check that the voltage
selector switch is set correctly for use in your area.

Accessories

HET, HBT models:
A cartridge is not provided with these models. However,
screws for mounting the cartridge, as well as washers
and nuts come with each model. and so before use,
provide yourself with the cartridge you intend to use,
read through the section "ATTACHING THE
CARTRIDGE" and then attach the cartridge to the ac-
cessory headshell.

S/G model:
This model comes with the PC-600 cartridge (which is
attached to the accessory headshell). Screws for mount-
ing a cartridge as well as washers and nuts are not pro-
vided.

r-IMPORTANT

To prevent electric shock, do not remove cover. No user service
able pans inside, refer servicing to qualified service personnel
Always disconnect all the equipment from the mains supply
when disconnecting the signal leads. The power card should
be connected last, make sure that the power switch is all.
Unplug the set from the wall socket when it is not to be used for
an ex tended period a! time.

CAUTION 240V: Mains supply voltage is factory
adjusted at 240V.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the
following co rd:

Blue: Neutral

Brown: Live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead a! this apparatus
may not correspond with the coloured marking identifying the
terminals in your plug proceed as lollows.

The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.
