Additional Laser Caution _-_I
1. Laser Interlock Mechanism
' The ON/OFF (ON : low Ievel,OFF : high level) status of the
LPS1 ($801) and LP82 ($802) switches for detecting the
loading state is detected by the system microprocessor.
and the design prevents laser diode oscillation when both
switches LPSI and LP82 are not ON (low level) (clamped
state).
Thus. interlock will no longer function if switches LPSI
(8801 ) and LP82 (8602 ) are deliberately shorted. '
The interlock also does not operate in the test mode alt.
Laser diode oscillation will continue. if pin 1 of
M51593FP ( I0101 ) on the preamplifier board loaded on
pick up assembly are connected to GND. or pin 19 is
connected to low level ( ON ). or else the terminals of
0101 are shorted to each other ( fault condition ).
