LINE VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCH

Only mum-voltage models are provided with this switch.
U.S., Canadian, European, U,K., and Australian models
are not provided with this switch.
Mains voltages in Saudi Arabia are 127V and 220V only.
The line voltage selector switch is located on the rear panel of this
player. Before your player is shipped from the factory, the switch is
set to the power requirements of the players destination. Checkthat
it is set properly before plugging the power cord into the outlet. If the
voltage is not properly set or if you move to an area where the voltage
requirements differ, adjust the selector switch as follows:
0 Use a medium~sized (flat blade) screwdriver. Insert the tip of the
screwdriver into the groove of the selector switch and turn it so
that the power voltage marking of your area points to the arrow.

The wires in Ihis mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue: Neutral
Brown: Live
As the colours of the wires in the malns lead or thrs
apparatus may not correspond with the coloured making
identifying the terminals in your plug proceed as tollows;

The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to
the terminal which is marked with the letter N or cola
outed black.

The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to
the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured
red

power plug. .

POWER-CORD PROTECTION - Power-supply cords
should be routed so that they are not likely to be

against them. Pay particular attention to cords at
plugs, convenience receptacles. and the point
where they exit from the appliance.

POLARIZATION _ If your purchased product is pro
Vided with a polarized power plug, please read the
following instructions. Tnls product is equipped
with a polarized alternating current line plug (a plug
having one blade wider than the other). This plug
will ht into the power outlet only one way, Thls IS a
safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug
fully into the outlet. try reversing the plug. lf the
plug should still fail to lit, contact your electrician to
replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the
sarety purpose or the polarized plug.

CLEANING ~ The appliance should be cleaned only
wrtn a polishing cloth or a sort dry cloth. Never
clean wtth furniture wax, henzlne. insecticides or
other volatile llquids since they may corrode the
cabinet.

operating instructions. All other servicing should

OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING - If an outside

antenna is connected to the antenna terminaL be
sure the antenna system is grounded so as to
provide some protection against voltage surges
and builtaup static charges.
In the U.S.A. section 810 of the National Electrical
Code, ANSI/NFPA 70. provides inIormatIon with
respect to proper grounding of the mast and
supporting structure. grounding of the leadin wire
to an antenna discharge unit, size oi grounding
conductors. location or antenna discharge unit,
connection to grounding electrodes. and
requirements Ior the grounding electrode. See Fig.
A.
