MOUNTING THE CARTRIDGE

O The cartridge must be securely mounted in your tonearm
with the stylus perpendicular to the record surface.

0 The tonearm should have four leads to be connected to the
cartridge output pins. When connecting the leads to the
cartridge output pins, be sure that you use the lugs furnish-

PIN CONNECTIONS
0 Fig. 2 shows the pin connections for the cartridge. R Fig 1

indicates the pin for the right-channel output (the hot side
or the positive phase), and L, the pin for the left-channel
output (the hot side or the positive phase). G denotes the
grounding pins for both channels.

Note that RIGHT GROUND also grounds the internal
shielding. Be sure that the RIGHT GROUND pin is
completely grounded.

NOTES: 0 The tracking force should be carefully adjusted to one in the
specified range (1.5 to 2.1 grams). Otherwise, stylus is liable

STYLUS REPLACEMENT

O The playing life of diamond stylus is approximately 1,200
to 1,500 hours. For record protection as well as for better
sound quality, replace the stylus before it is completely
worn out. To remove the stylus from the cartridge, hold
the cartridge unit With one hand and simply pull out the
stylus holder toward the stylus tip with the fingers of the
other hand. To mount a new stylus, reverse the above
procedures. For replacement, PN-50 is recommended.

STYLUS GUARD

Fig. 4 shows a stylus Covered with stylus guard (plastic).
It is recommended to use the guard when mounting the
cartridge in the arm head (cartridge shell), for example.
