OPERATING GUIDE

(U) PIONEER

APPLICATIONS AND
FEATURES

This is a slim, tubular microphone designed With flat irequen
cy response in the range oI 32 7 16,011) Hz, meant to be con
nected to the Pioneer Graphic Equalizer $6750 or SG»750,
and used for monitoring indoor sound characteristics. Its om-
nidirectional characteristics make it unsuitable for vocal use,
since howling (lead back) may be caused.

BEFORE USE

Inserting battery:

(Batteries can be purchased in a camera shop. etc.)
Remove the grip as shown in Fig. l, and insert a UM~4 bat-
tery.

Connecting the cord:

Attach the connection cord as shown in Fig. 2. When the
miniplug is inserted in the CM-75M, the switch is turned ON;
when the plug is removed, the switch is OFF. When finished
using the microphone, detach the miniplug.

ABOUT BATTERIES

When not using the microphone Ior an extended period of

time, remove the battery from the handle When a battery is

left inserted for long periods 01 time, leakage may ensue,

resulting in poor Contact or damage.

When battery is used improperly, dangerous leakage or rup

ture may be caused. Observe the Iollowing precautions

regarding the use oI batteries:

1. Insert battery With the (+) and (-l polarities correctly
matching the diagram in the appliance.

2. Both rechargeable and nonrrechargeable type batteries
are available. Read the warning label carefully betore air
tempting to recharge any battery.

OPERATION (Connected to the 56-50 or

86-750 and used [or observation of room sound
characteristlcs):
As shown in Fig. 3, set the microphone at the same height as
the highrrange (high-frequency) speakers in your speaker
systems. Generate a signal sound from the speakers, and
analyze the sound With a spectrum analyzer. For detailed
instnrctions on use, consult the Operating Instructions for
the 36-50 or 567750.
Due to the influence oi a speaker systems directionality,
severe attenuation of highrlrequencies may be experiencv
ed In this case, pornt the speakers directly toward the
microphone, as indicated by the dotted lined in the il-
lustration.
