Damaged or worn styli can do irreparable harm to
y0ur record collection. The Pickering Stylus Timer
screntilically measures actual stylus wear time from
0 hows to 1000 hours in increments ot 100 hours.
Check your stylus after every 250 hours of record
playing time. and replace it when worn to protect
your records. Always insist upon a genuine PICK-
ERING REPLACEMENT (imprinted with the Pick-
ering Logo)...an imitation will significantly reduce
performance and increase record wear.

YOUR NEW CARTRIDGE
The Stereohedron stylus assembly of the XSV/SOOO
is Pickering's new Patented stylus design and in-
corporates those features providing extended
trace/\bilityo for stereo as well as 4-channel. This
means it possesses not only superior performance
in low frequency tracking but also in high frequency
tracin ability.
The SV/SOOO will extract all the high frequency
information contained in todays finest quality
phonograph discs to deliver superb sound.
THE STEREOHEDRON" STYLUS
Like its cousin. the Ouadrahedral "', the Stereohed.
ron stylus is shaped to provide an enlarged area of
record groove contact. while providing the ability to
accurately trace the high frequency, high level mod-
utations found on todays records. Thus, the
Sfereohedron' stylus provides superior perfor-
mance with low stylus wear and low record wear for
your stereo records.

DUSTAMATIC", BRUSH
A patented feature of Pickerin cartridges is the
inclusion of a brush assembly t at helps keep the
record grooves cleanfilt does not in an way detract
from the overall performance since 9 brush as-
sembly is independently suspended from the car-
tridge. The brush is located off-center to allow it to
clean the record grooves ahead of the stylus.
V-(EnUARDWI PROTECTION
The stylus assembly on your cartridge has molded
into it a precisely shaped opening which we call a V
Guard". into which the stylus recedes in the event
of excessive downward or sideways pressure. But
nothing can make up for carelessness. . .always
treat your records and cartridge with the respect any
precision instrument deserves.
FOUR-CHANNEL REPRODUCTION
This cartridge will perform superbl not only with
stereo. but with four-channel matrix erived systems
(80. 08. etc.) as well as four-channel discrete.
REPLACEABLE STYLUS
The patented stylus assembly is removable. Simply
grasp between the tips of the thumb and forefinger.

STYLUS TIP CARI
Dust will inevitably accumulate on the stylus tip even
under the cleanest conditions. It can be removed by
