ALIGNMENT AND CALIBRATION

These receivers are carefully aligned and calibrated at the factory. with
precision instruments. If realignment is necessary the followrng equipment
is required

(1) A dependable Output Meter.

(2)A signal Generator to supply. with accuracy the following fre-

Quencies:
(a) Intermediate Frequency: 455 K.C.
(b) Broadcast Band: 600 K.C.. 950 K.C.1460 K. C

(c) 49 MeterBand: 595 MC 605 MC 610 MC
M..,C 625 MC

(d) 31 Meter Band: 9.55 M.C.

(e) 25 Meter Band: 11.8 M.C.
(f) 19 Meter Band: 15.3 M.C

THE BANDSPREAD BANDS

These circuits have stabilized adjustments that have been accurately
set at the factory. UNLESS TAMPERING IS EVIDENT IT
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT RE ADJUSTMENT BIE
AVOIDED. However. if alignment is absolutely necessary the following
instructions must be very carefully followed: Special care is to be taken to
assure accuracy at the Signal Generator frequencies used. The best method
is to check with broadcasting stations of known frequencies.

6 MEGACYCLE BAND
Set the Si nal Generator and Dial Pointer to 6.15 M.C. and adusr the

6 M.C. Oscllator Trimmer C9 and BS. Trimmers C4 and 12 for

maximum output Refer to note No.2

. 9 MEGACYCLE BAND

Set the Signal Generator and Dial Pointer to 9 55 M.C. and ad'ust the

9 MC. Oscillator Trimmer C8 and 8.5. Trimmers C4 and 12 for

maxrmum output. Refer to note No. 2.

Il MEGACYCLE BAND
Set the Signal Generator and Dial Pointer to 11,8 M.C. and a ust the
11 M.C 03c lator Trimmer C7 and EMS Trimmers C4 and (512 {or
maximum output. Refer to note No.
15 MEGACYZCLE BAND
Set the Signal Generator and Dial Pointer to 15.3 M.C. and adjust the

15 Megacycle Oscillator Trimmer C6 and 13.5. Trimmers C4 and C12

for maxrmiim output. Refer to note No. 2.

Note I-When aligning oscillator section at hirn frequencies,f care should
be taken that the receiver is not ad djusteda m an imafie Irequcnc in
place of the fundamental. The fundamental will e obtaine at
minimum trimmer capacity.

Note 2-Whrn aligning antenna trimmer at high frequencies, rock gang
condenser back and forth to obtain maximum peak.
