Using the AC adaptor

Connect the AC adaptor supplied.

Using rechargeable batteries

Obtain the optional rechargeable batteries tor SL-SSGO,
SL-SastC and SL-SIJSZC.

Make sure to recharge the batteries betore using them.
The unit cannot be used to charge rechargeable batter-
ies other than those specially designed lor it.

Recharging procedure

1 Insert the special rechargeable bat-
teries Into the unit.

2 Connect the AC adaptor.
(Heler to Using the AC adaptor tor connection
instructions.)
Recharging stans and the G" charging indicator
llashes on and oil on the unit's display panel.
When the rechargeable batteries lully recharge the
charging indicator disappears.

3 When recharging is complete, un-
plug the AC adaptor trom the power
outlet and the DC IN jack.

Olt takes approximately 3 hours to fully recharge the
supplied rechargeable batteries. (SL-saes)

'Rechargeable batteries have a service lite of approxi-
mately 300 charge-discharge cycles. It the operating
time on one full charge becomes noticeably shorter
than it used to be, the battery has reached the end at
its service lite and should be replaced.

ORecharging may only be pertormed when the unit is
powered oil. (It is not possible to recharge the batter
ies while playing a CD.)

OThe AC adaptor and rechargeable batteries may be-
come warm while recharging is in progress. This is not
a maltunction.

Using the car adaptor

The SL-SSGtC and SL-SSSZC come with a car adaptor.
Be sure to use the adaptor specially designed lor these
models.

Be sure to obtain the car adaptor (SH-CDCQ) lor SL-
8360 and SL-SSSS, available as an optional accessory.
The car adaptor can be used to recharge the unit's bat-
teries while in the car.

CAUTION: (SL-8360/SL-8365)
Use only car adaptor. Model: SH-CDCS manulac-
tured by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.,Ltd.

then disconnect the power sources (the AC
adaptor and batterles).
