Using the AC adaptor

The AC adaptor IS not included with the SL-SZGZ model. Be sure
to obtain the optional ac adaptor.

Conserving power

The ac adapter consumes 2.0 w when the unit is turned art with
(I, OF'R OFF]. To save power when the unit is not to be used tor
a long time, unplug the AC adaptor Item the household AC outlet.
Reprogram tracks It necessary belore use.

Using rechargeable batteries
(not included)

Obtain the optional rechargeable bananas.

Make sure to recharge the batteries balore using them. The unit
cannot be used to charge rechargeable batteries other than
those specially designed lot it,

Recharging procedure

Insert the special rechargeable bat-
teries into the unit.

Recharging starts and the "I' charging indicator flashes
on and on on the unit's display. When the rechargeable
batteries lully recharge the charging indicator disappears.

OFiechargeable batteries have a service lite ot approxi-
mately 300 charge-discharge cycles. II the operating
time on one lull charge becomes noticeably shorter
than it used to be, the battery has reached the end of
its service life and should be replaced.

Inc-charging may only be pettormed when the unit is
powered ott. (It is not possible to recharge the batter-
ies while playing a CD.)

OThe AC adaptor and rechargeable batteries may be-
come warm while recharging is in progress, This is not
a mallunction.

Using the car adaptor
(not included)

Be sure to obtain the car adaptor (SH»CDCQ), available
as an optional accessory.

The car adaptor can be used to recharge the unit's bat-
teries while in the car.

CAUTION:
Use only car adaptor, Model: SH-CDCS manulac-
lured by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.,Ltd.

Using dry-cell batteries
(not included)

After disconnecting the AC adaptor, insert two "AA"
(LRS) alkaline batteries.

The procedure tor Inserting and removing dry»cell
batteries ls Identical to that tor rechargeable bat-
terles.

Battery indicator

almost out at power. Power is cut oft completely a short

Rechargeable batteries: Recharge batteries.
