Damage Requiring Service

Unplug the apparatus from the wall outlet and refer

servicing to qualified service personnel under the

following conditions:

A. When the power-supply cord or plug is dam-
aged,

B. If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen
into the apparatus,

C. If the apparatus has been exposed to rain or
water,

D. If the apparatus does not operate normally by
following the operating instructions. Adjust only
those controls that are covered by the operating
instructions as an improper adjustment of other
controls may result in damage and will often
require extensive work by a qualified technician
to restore the apparatus to its normal operation,

and 10 cm (4") at the rear. The rear edge of the shelf

or board above the apparatus shall be set 10 cm (4")

away from the rear panel or wall, creating a flue-like

gap for warm air to escape.

Handling Discs

- Never touch the underside of a disc. Always hold discs by
the edge, as shown.

Cleaning Discs

- For best results, keep your discs clean. Fingerprints and
dust can affect the sound quality and should be removed
as follows Using a clean soft cloth, wipe from the center
outwards, as shown. chcr wipe in a circular direction

- To remove stubborn dust or dirt, wipe the disc with a
damp soft cloth, and then dry it with a dry cloth.

- Never use solvent-based cleaning fluids, such as thinner
or benzene, commercially available cleaners, or antistatic
sprays intended for vinyl records, because they may dam-
age the disc.

Storing Discs

- Dont store discs in places subject to direct sunlight, or
near heat sources.

' Dont store discs in places subject to moisture or dust,
such as in a bathroom or near a humidifier

- Always store discs in their cases and vertically. Stacking,
or putting objects on unprotected discs may cause warp-
ing, scratches, or other damage.
