MPCD33 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS a) Read Instru ction s - All the safety and operating instruction s should be read before this produ ct is conne cted and used. b) R etain Instructions - The safety and operating instruction s should be kept for fu ture referen ce. c) Heed Warning s - A ll warnings o n this product a nd in these opera ting instruction s sho uld be follow ed. d) Follow Instruction s - All opera ting and other instru ction s should be follow ed. e) Placemen t -“ pla ce the unit in a clea n dry location . f) Water and Moi sture - Thi s produ ct sho uld be kept aw ay from dire ct conta ct with liquids. The ap paratu s shal l no t be exposed to drippin g or spl ashing and that no obje cts filled with liquid s, such as v ases, shall be pla ced on the apparatu s. g) Temperature- Av oid pla cing this produ ct to close to any high hea t sour ces such a s radia tors. Do not u se this unit at temperature s below 41°F/5°C or higher than 95°F/35°C. h) Ventila tion - The ap pliance should be situated so that it s location or posi tion doe s no t interfere w ith its prop er v entilatio n. For example, the appliance should not be situate d on a bed, sofa, ru g, or similar surfa ce that may block the ventilation opening ; or , placed in a b uilt-installa tion, such a s bookcase or cabine t that may impede the flow of ai r throu gh the v entila tion openings. i) Pow er Source s - This produ ct should be conne cted to a pow er supply only of the type de scribe d in these opera ting instru ction s, or as marke d on the unit. j) Pow er Cord Pro tection - Pow er sup ply cord s shoul d be routed so that they are no t likely to be walked upon or p inched by items pla ced on or again st them. When r emoving the cord from a pow er outlet be sure to remov e it by holding the plug attachmen t and not by pulling on the cor d. k) Object and L iquid Entry - Take care that obj ects do not fall into and that liquids are not spill ed in to the inside of the mix er. l) Cleaning -“ The a ppliance should be cleaned only as recommended by the manufa cturer. Do not use chemic al solv ents to clean the unit. m) Non-use Period s -“ The pow er cord of the applia nce shoul d be unplugge d from the outlet w hen left unu sed for long perio ds of time. n) Damage Requiring Serv ice - Only quali fied per sonnel should serv ice this product. If y ou hav e any question s about serv ice plea se contact Numar k at the number( s) sho wn on the back cover o f this manua l. o) Grounding or Polari zati on - Pre caution s should be take n so th at th e grounding or polari zation mean s buil t into the CD play er is not defeate d. p) Inte rnal/Ex ternal V oltage Sele ctors - Internal or external voltage sele ctor switche s, if any , should only be rese t and re-eq uipped with a proper plug for alter nativ e voltage by a quali fied service te chni cian . Do not a ttemp t to alter this yourself . q) Carts and Stand s -The appli ance should be used only with a cart or stand that i s recommend ed by the manufa cture r of the cart or stand. An appliance and cart combina tion sho uld be mov ed w ith care. Quick stop s, excessiv e for ce, and unev en sur faces may cause the appl iance and cart com bination to overturn . SE RVICE INSTRUCTIONS - Dis conne ct powe r cord before servicing - Repl ace critical compone nts onl y with factory par ts or recommende d e qui valents - For AC line powered units - Before ret urning repa ired unit to user, use an ohmmeter to measure fr om both AC plug blades to all exposed metallic parts.
