resolutions as high as 1080i (1080 lines interlaced picture) thanks to the Faroudja DCDi chip. This allows you to make the most of the high resolution capability of todays HD projectors and flat panel displays. (The TV display must be HDCP compatible to take advantage of this advanced feature.) Most popular disc formats are supported by the T 524/T 534, including JPEG, as well as MP-3 and WMA (Windows Media Audio). DVD-R recordable DVD format is fully supported. Other DVD recording formats (DVD+R and DVD-RAM) may, or may not play properly, depending on the specific recorder and blank disc used. Performance Audio performance is fully up to NADs high standards, and the T 524 and T 534 are superb music players for CD and DVD-Audio. With full support for CD-R and CD-RW formats the T 524/T 534 is right up to date. Even MP-3 and WMA files can be played back on this versatile player, with one CD-R capable of up to 10 hours of continuous music playback! Whichever audio format is chosen, the signal will be processed and decoded with typical NAD precision. The analogue output stages are fed from separate regulated power supplies, and utilize audiophile quality parts to retain all the dynamics and detail contained in the original recording. Equal attention has been paid to the video performance capabilities: Keeping signal paths short and direct to minimise any interference, the 4x10 bit 54MHz Video DACs are capable of reproducing the finest of picture details, where black is truly black and with vivid colours extremely faithful to the original. The Component Video output (Y, Cr, Cb) sports Progressive Scan to get the most out of the latest high-end digital video monitors and projectors with significantly increased resolution when compared to standard, interlaced video. For video displays without Component Video input, the SCART (which supports RGB) and S-Video connectors offer superior video performance. Value The NAD T524 and T 534 bring NAD quality and performance to an affordable price range. While these players are a natural partner to one of NADs high performance Theatre Series Receivers, their superb performance and exceptional value make them an outstanding choice in their own right. *: These features need to be supported by DVD software. T524DVD/CD Player T534 DVD/CD Player SPECIFICATIONS Audio Frequency Response CD Audio Frequency Response DVD (96kHz) Output Level Sign al/noise ratio, A-weighted THD (at 0dB, 1kHz) Wow and Flutter Channel separatio n CD Dynamic range Number of discs DVD Video Signal to Noise Signal System 4Hz to 20kHz 4Hz to 44kHz 2V rms -100dB 0.005% Quartz Accuracy 95dB 103 dB 1 60dB PAL(230V)/NTSC(120V) Output Digital Coaxial - PCM, DTS, MPEG, (230V), AC3 Digital Optical - PCM, DTS, MPEG, (230V), AC3 Composite Video S-Video Component Video Remote Control Physical Specifications Dimensions (W x H x D) Net Weight Shipping Weight 0.5 p-p 75-, RCA x 1 3V p-p 75- 1v p-p 75- 1 x RCA Y/C 4 pin x 1 RCA x 3 Y/Cb/Cr SCART w/RGB (230V) NAD DVD- 6 17 1/8 x 1 7/8 x 9 1/2 (436 x 39 x 240mm) 5.0lbs (2.2kg) 7.0lbs (3.2kg) NAD Electronics International reserves the right to change specifications or features without notice.
