INSTALLATION PRECAUTION S & USER INFORMATION
This new X-LPS V8 is designed and built to pr ovide trouble -free perfor mance, but as with all electronic devices it is
necess ary to observe a few precautions:
Heed all warnings shown on the back o f the prod uct.
Only connect the X-LPS V8 power supply to a m ains outle t having the sam e volt age as marked at the back of
the power suppl y.
Alway s ensure that when disconnecting and reconnec ting your audi o equipm ent th e mains suppl y is switched
off.
Position the power lead an d signal interconnects whe re they are no t likel y to be walked on or trapped b y ite ms
placed on the m.
Do not use ne ar water, or place w ater-fill ed containers on the X-LPS V8, for example, a flower vase or potted
plants. If water does spill inside, immediately pull out the mains plug from the wall socket and inform
your dealer, who should then check th e unit before fu rther use. Entry of liquid into the X-LPS V8 is
dangerous, and may cause elect ric sho ck or fire haz ard.
Do not place the unit near direct heat sources such as radiators, direct sunlight or other equipm ent.
Do not rem ove any covers or tr y to gain access to th e inside. There are no internal adjustments or fuses you
can replace y ourself. Refer all service work to an authorised Musical Fidelity agent.
Note: Unauthorised opening of the eq uipm ent will invalidate any warranty claim .
Dust regularly with a soft cloth or soft brush but be careful when using cleaning or polishi ng a gents - the y may
har m the surface finish.
The electronics in modern hi-fi equipm ent is com plex and may, therefore, be adversely affecte d or dam aged by
lightni ng. F or protection o f the audio s ystem during elect rical stor ms, re move t he mains plugs and disconnect any
aerial lead.
If after-sal es service is req uired, to help the dealer iden tify the X-L PS V8 please quote the serial num ber lo cated on the
rear panel of the unit.
