GENERAL INFORMATION

The Morley Rock'n Verb is one of the finest devices in its
class. A few moments of reading this pamphlet will provide

a much shorter IIgetting familiar period. The RNV may be
used with any amplified instrument or microphone with normal
range of impedance. Always use good quality shielded cable
to minimize interference, noise, or hum. The RNV may be used
with two 9 volt alkaline batteries or an external AC (mains)
adapter. .

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Connect the instrument or microphone to the input jack, and
the output jack to the amplifier. Be sure your A.C. adapter
or batteries are installed. Set the four user controls to

l2 o'clock. Push the foot switch to the position that lights
the "effects on" indicator lamp. You should now be producing
fine reverberation. The controls are marked and a few moments
of experiment with them will help determine what best suits
your needs.

1 < The Sustain Control
It adjusts reveFBEration time with full control of its
duration from zero to 8 seconds, and anything in between.
At minimum setting. an excellent doubling effect is
obtained.

2 - The "Loudness Control
The reverberation volume can be set from zero to louder
than the original sound, with no acoustical oscillation,
as happens with springs. Sustain time is unaffected
by loudness.

3 - The Tone Control
he rever era ion color can be set from warm bass to
crisp highs. The direct signal is unaffected by the
tone control.

4 - The Drive Control
Finally, something to really bend your ear - overdriven
reverb. Turn the drive and loudness control fully
clockwise. Turn the tone control fully counter clock-
wise. the sustain control to 12 o'clock. You now
have a different kind of distortion. Don't hesitate
experimenting with those controls. Try extending or
shortening the sustain time - or reducing the drive.
There are sounds there for you and your style of
music.

The RNV can operate from two 9 volt batteries or the
Morley A.C. adapter. The adapter is by far the most
economical. If battery operation is more convenient,
the alkaline batteries, despite their higher initial
cost, are more economical compared to the cheaper zinc
carbon 9 volters.

The unit is turned on when a cord is plugged into the
input jack. The batteries are automatically dis-
connected when the A.C. adapter is connected.
