BLACK GOLD STEREO VOLUME PANNER MODEL BSP

The 85? is an electro-optical control pedal. It operates on (2)

9 Volt batteries or optional 12 Volt AC adapter available through Morley or
your dealer.

A foot switch selects either the panning or volume mode.

The LED indicator is bright in panning. dimmer in volume mode.

The volume mode is either monaural or stereo depending on whether one or
two signals are inputted and the outputs are fed into two separate channels
or amps.

In stereo mode the signals remain discrete. Input 1 emits from output 1;
input 2 emits from output 2. There is no crossover.

ln panning mode with one signal in and two out into two amps or two
channels of same amp the pedal moves the signal from one output to the other.
with pedal in center of its travel both channels are of equal volume if the
volume of the amps are set equally.

If two signals are going in from two sources such as keyboards or from the
stereo outputs of one. the pedal acts as a mixer or balance control. The signals
do not cross over or mix but the level of one channel will go up as the other
goes down proportionally as the pedal is moved.

In the center of the pedal travel both channels will be equal if instruments
and amplifier controls are equal. The separation control knob adjusts the taper
of the signal movement between channels.

SOME APPLICATIONS:

l) - One signal panned between two channels. one dry, the other with effects.
Pan to effects for lead. back to dry when desired. If panned between two
amps either side of stage a stereo effect is obtained if effects are in
One amp. dry in the other or different effects in each amp.

2) - Two keyboards into two amps. If doing a lead with piano, increase its
volume proportionate to strings in background etc.

The BS? is a versatile device and provides additional techniques
