POWER SOURCES - ,pattery and, to (mine)

All Morley effect boxes are designed to operate from one
or two 9 volt (NEJA 160M) batteries or an optional Ac
(mains) adapter. * The battery can be installed by remov-
ing the la torews which hold the bottom cover in place.
The adapter automatically disconnect: the battery when it
is plugged into the effect box, thereby prolonging bat-
tery life.

The adapter is more economical to use than batteries,
however there are times when using the battery is more
convenient. Morley therefore provides both capabilities.

ABY

The ABY is a multi-channel switch that has been around for
many years and has been used mostly in laboratories and by
electronic engineers. Morley added the lights and found it
so useful in our own work we decided to share it with our
friends, the people who use Morley products.

Our particular version of the concept uses the lights to
show which channel is on.

1. SOME SUGGESTED USES OF THE ABY SWITCH

Switching an amp output from one speaker to another or
both.

Switching an instrument to either of two amplifier inf
puts.

Switching either of two signal sources such as two in-
struments, or an Instrument and a recorded source to an
amp input.

Can be used for comparison of performance of two compo-
nents in listening tests or in electrical analysis.

Many more applications will undoubtedly be evolved by the
musician or dealer who works this very handy device.
