The MOON Equinox CD Player is housed in a rigid trapezoidal shaped
chassis to diffuse mechanical resonances. Operating with an
internal upsampling rate using 24-bit/352.8kHz processing in
conjunction with an audiophile grade transport, a toroidal transformer
based power supply and a military-specification FR4 glass epoxy circuit
board, the MOON Equinox yields world-class sonic performance at
a relatively affordable price.
Based on the aesthetics of the globally renowned MOON Eclipse and
the audio circuitry of the MOON Nova CD Players, the MOON Equinoxrepresents the culmination of over 5 years of in-house research and
development into digital audio playback. Featuring a large proprietary
display read-out, the MOON Equinox offers great ergonomics and
superb ease-of-use.
Intended as a companion source component for the MOON i-3
integrated amplifier, The MOON Equinox will provide superior
performance when paired with virtually any other integrated amplifier
or preamplifier available.

The MOON i-3 integrated amplifier combines numerous technologies
found in our separate preamplifiers and amplifiers. Producing a
maximum continuous power output rating of 100 watts per channel into
8 ohms and 160 watts into 4 ohms, the MOON i-3 comes in a rigid
chassis featuring six line-level inputs including a user-configurable "home-theater ready" input and a preamplifier output, audiophile-grade 5-way
binding posts and a military-specification FR4 glass epoxy circuit board.
The MOON i-3 represents an affordable alternative to the award
winning MOON i-5, providing breakthrough sonic performance at a
modest price level, in yet a simple and elegant physical package.
An oversized power supply - A custom proprietary toroidal transformer design with lower magnetic, electrical and thermal loss, yielding an improved
power transfer and lower regulation factor, resulting in increased current speed and better dynamics - An extremely short capacitor-free signal path
measuring 18.5 inches in length from input RCA's to output binding posts, eliminating virtually all potential sources of interference and producing a
sonically faster transient response - Gain section using a Crystal microprocessor functioning as a "shunt to ground" that doesn't degrade sonic
performance regardless of the setting - One single-ended audio input which bypasses the gain stage to accomodate a component, such as
home-theatre processor, whose own volume control is used instead - Amplifier section using a "no overall feedback" design resulting in real-time
amplification, more accurate musical reproduction with respect to tonality, virtually non-existent intermodulation distortion and the elimination of com-
