DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURES

CAUTION

Before proccdlnu with disammbly, take specie! care to protect the
liniahcrl wooden portions of the instrument from rlnmnge from
sharp objects. The use of carpeting or styroloam Is recommended.

KEVBOARD CIRCUIT

1. To gain access to the keyhonrd circuit, remove the bottom cover by re
moving the eight screws and cup washers. This will provrde the capability
to troubleshoot the oscillntor. the keyhanrrl circuit. 12 volt regulator,
VCA, VCF. force sensor and circuitry associated with the Iel't-hnnd

controller.

2. The board may be completely loosened by removinu the four screw and
luck wnshers along the center of the printed circuit heurd nnrl Cunlwctorx
$19. 5110. 5111 and 5113. This yields neeess to the keyhennl uonLhcls.

3. The force sensor nmy he removed by loosening the prinlurl Irirr'uit hmml
and removing the two mountiru: screws of the ODLD-ltltl'rllllllt'r al, (In.
center or the keyboard.

CONTROL BOARD

1.Ihe control board assembly may be disussernhlerl by removing; the two
10-32 3/4" screws and washers at each cml of the top assembly, 1'"
completely remove the printed circuit bonrd. remove knubs from controls
and sliders. the three screws on the buck and the {our screws m-enrinu the
printed circuit heard in plnce.

LEFT-HAND CONTROLLER

1. To gain news; to the switches and controls, remove only the twu screws
nt each end of the neck.

POWER SUPPLY/INTERFACE

It To gnin access to the power supply. remove the three screws on the mu lip
of the buck panel chassis. three screws on the top extrusion and the two
top screws from each and cup. This allows the top cover to he removed.

OVERALL TROUBLESHOOTING

1. After the instrument is fully dlsnssemblcd It is suguested that the instru-
ment neck be strongly supported with a suitable Innteriul such on team to
fucllituta troubleshooting. The form can be used quite successfully by
cutting In under-sized rectangular hole in the team All a height that places
the Instrument in n horlzontul plane with the keyboard raclng up.
