IMPORTANT

Before making any attempt to connect or operate the loudspeaker, please read
the sections on Installation, Connection and Safety.

IMPORTANT

This apparatus must be earthed (grounded) to a reliable earth point,
preferably through the mains lead (power cord).

INTRODUCTION

The M2 is a 2-way integrated active loudspeaker system from Boothroyd
Stuart. Careful alignment of the two high power long-throw bass-m id drivers
with the enclosure, the electronic crossover and the committed power
amplifiers, has resulted in a new low frequency system giving a perturbed 6th
order Butterworth response at low frequencies. The result is a smooth, firm
and powerful bass response down to 38Hz with accurate transients.

An electronic time delay of 76 micro seconds allows time alignment of the
dome tweeter with the bass units, this alignment preserves the important
radiation pattern through the crossover region.

This clever loudspeaker system benefits from our years of experience in the
design of loudspeakers, amplifiers and active loudspeakers, and represents a
true systems approach.

M2 incorporates an adjustable stand to ensure optimum stereo performance
but is equally at home on a bookshelf.

The power amplifiers, power supply and electronic crossovers are contained
within the cabinet.

UNPACKING
Carefully unpack each loudspeaker, and accessories. Each pack should
contain:

1 matched pair of loudspeakers enclosures complete with electronics,
identified by serial number L xxx A and L xxx B.

1 mains cord pack, IEC (Europlug) male to 2 IEC female line sockets "
1 signal (audio) cord pack DIN - DIN + DIN

2 Fuses 2.5 A quick blow 20 mm

1 Fuse 1.25A SI0

2 Stand Kits 1

2 Spring clip retainers for IEC line sockets

IMPORTANT

The cardboard carton, and miscellaneous packing material should be retained
in case either unit has to be returned to the dealer, manufacturer or
distributor for service. Boothroyd Stuart Limited or their agents will not be
responsible for repair of damage caused by shipping units for service in
defective packing.
