MVP831

DVD / CD /Video CD Player

Videophiles and audiophiles can agree on at least one point: DVD is the best
of both worlds. The MVP831 features advanced video processing and an
ultra-stable transport that optimizes disc playback. The sixechannel Dolby
Digital® or DTS® soundtrack data is available via an optical or coaxial digital
output. The MVP83l/s high-performance audio section features a 24bit Burr»
Brown DAC that handles 24/96 music DVDs.

Featured Technologies

10-BITVIDEO CONVERTER. The MVPtBt features an extremely fast video DAC that eliminates
digital artifacts, resulting in film-like picture quality, A DVD is tapahle of delivering 500 lines
of horizontal resolution, which is more than twice that or standard VHS tapes.
ULTRA-STABLE TRANSPORT. Stability is particularly important in a home theater environment
With high soundepressure levels. The MVP83ls side suspension dampers and hydrodynamic
bearing spindle motor improve disc trackability for a lower bit-error rate This improves picture

DUAL-FOCUS LENS. Rather than using two separate laser assemblies to read dual-layer discs,
the MVP831 employs iust one laser that is split and then passed through a dualefocus lens. This

24-BIT AUDIO DAC. The MVP83 l's high-pertormance audio section features a 24bit Burr
Brown DAC that can play 24/96 music DVDs.

CONTROL DATA INPUT. This enables a McIntosh Control Center to operate the MVP83t.

REMOTE POWER CONTROL. This enables the MVP83l to turn ori/off with other McIntosh
equipment.
