The analogue symmetrical circuitry and the power supply circuit are equipped with specially selected or even customized components to enhance the sound quality. The Marantz ST7001 continues the Marantz tradition of providing the ultimate in precision tuner performance. S ta y tu ned DAB is a digital radio system, which was developed by the Eureka 147 Project. It offers near CD-quality sound, more stations, additional radio and data services and therefore wider choice of programs, the ease of tuning and interference- free reception for the listener, plus the information potential of data, graphics and text. DAB is broadcast on terrestrial networks, and you are able to receive it using solely a tiny non- directional stub antenna. The two main frequency bands for DAB transmission are Band L (1.452 - 1.492 GHz) and Band III (174 - 240 MHz). The digital audio signal compression on MPEG standard offers data rates up 384kBit/s which guarantees a very high sound quality without any distortion. Aside from distortion-free reception and CD Quality sound, DAB offers further advantages as it has been designed for the multimedia age. DAB can carry not only audio, but also text, pictures, data and even videos - all on your radio (when broadcasted)! D ig it a l A udio B ro ad ca stin g Every Marantz product is designed with a fine ear and eye for details. The designers have to know the characteristics of every component. On paper the component might look excellent but the result may fall short of the combined design expectations. Therefore Marantz collects vast amounts of information upon specifics component performance capabilities. The result guarantees Marantz selects the appropriate components for the specific design application. The sonic result is then critically acclaimed by international reviewers. In other cases it's simply not possible to use standard components that meet the high Marantz standards. These components will then be specially made for Marantz only in co-operation with the Marantz engineers. C usto m iz e d co m ponen ts To make the ST7001 ready for future developments we have installed an additional RDI (Radio Data Interface) optical digital output. This output allows reception and decoding of future text, graphics and video data, provided you link the tuner with an RDI-enabled PC or set-top box. R D I o utp ut Information about your favorite radio station on the display of your tuner! The Radio Data System provides information about general things like the name of the radio station, program type of the tuned program, displaying of the actual time and radio text with additional information to played music. R ad io D ata S y ste m (R D S) The sleep/timer function offers full programmability of the switch on and off operation of the system, including the amplifier. Very useful when you want to record a timed radio broadcast or if you want to be awakened by your audio system. S le ep & T im er fu nctio n Add the name of your choice to your favorite radio station. With Manual Station Name Input you decide what name comes up in the display of your tuner, especially when the radio station does not provide RDS information. M an ual sta tio n n am e in p ut To optimize equipment in terms of ease of use, Marantz has designed the D-Bus system. Individual devices inform each other, in order to automatically tune to the customers demands. At the same time received remote control commands are communicated via this bus. This enables equipment without IR- receiver, like a cassette deck or tuner, to be controlled via a Marantz System Remote Controller. M ara n tz D -B u s Every electronic equipment product is built of single electrical components that are made of different material and substances. Marantz assure that the components used in our products are free of any dangerous material or substance to keep our environment clean. We have for example removed hazardous substances like lead in the solder. E nvir o nm en ta l fr ie n dly
