Powered for excellence This monoural power amplifier is build according to the latest AV specification of THX, THX Ultra. The discrete amplifier provides high quality music. It can be bridged, increasing the power by more then double to an impressive power rating. Its slim and smart design ensures that 5 MA6100's put beside each other match the width of our receivers. The MA6100 has no RC but it can be switched on and off via the Marantz D-Bus system or via the Video Switch Power. For those who want to get more out of their system. THX Ultra certified Home THX Audio Systems, developed by George Lucas' THX Division, have become the world's standard for film enjoyment in the home. Now in its 15th year, THX licenses its patented technology to leading A/V and PC manufacturers worldwide. The legendary training program has certified more than 1500 dealers as among the highest qualified to sell and install Home THX products. THX also certifies home video software through the THX Digital Mastering Program, ensuring that DVD software, laser discs and VHS videotapes provide the best image and sound quality possible through the use of patented THX technology and unique quality control expertise. Only audiosystems applying to the highest requirements can be certified with the THX Ultra specification. In line with our philosophy Marantz only applies to the highest standards. BTL mode Marantz design their amplifiers to have robust power outputs. For the very demanding listener Marantz offers the ability to extent with a separate power amplifier. These amplifiers can be used in BTL mode. When operating in BTL, the amplifiers operates as one mono amplifier with more then twice the power rating. By offering the normal mono signal to one power amp and the inverted signal to the other power amp, the difference signal represents the amplified monorual signal. Video triggered power In a multichannel set-up, placing the power amplifiers out of sight can be very benificial. Problem however is that this set-up in most cases does not allow easy access to the power amplifiers to switch them on and off. Therefore Marantz developed the Video Switch Power-on. When a video signal or DC voltage is detected, power amplifiers switch on automatically. And whenthe video signal stops, the amplifiers switch off again. D.Bus To optimise equipment in terms of ease of use, Marantz has designed the D.Bus system. Individual devices inform each other, in order to automatically tune to the customers demands. At the same time received remote control commands are communicated via this bus. This enables equipment without IR- receiver, like a power amps, a cassette deck or tuner, to be controlled via a Marantz Remote control. Technological glossary: -– The highest quality standard in AV.
