DV8300 DVD Player The dream of perfection in sound and visionIn the constant pursuit for perfection in sound and vision
reproduction, the DV8300 bears the THX select certifica-
tion and is equipped with the latest 108 MHz / 12 bit video
DAC which can be fed in the highest quality RGB signal
via a Scart connector. It also offers progressive scan for
NTSC playback via and component out. Progressive scan
creates a picture signal with double the scan lines of a
conventional interlaced picture. A progressive image offers
a higher picture resolution and eliminates virtually all
motion artifacts. Even on large screens, you can enjoy
extended viewing without eye fatigue. The progressive
conversion of the DV8300 is optimized for the high
resolution and low noise of the DVD-format. This enables
the unit to preserve DVD-video picture quality for display
on all screen sizes, from direct view CRT to projectors.
In line with the Marantz heritage, ultimate audio perfor-
mance is guaranteed. The DV8300 incorporates a 192/24
audio DAC for the front two audio channels and the
unique Marantz HDAM and a separate power supply for
the audio section.
TodayÕs state of the art music and movie software releases
will really come to live as intended.
High Definition Amplifier Modules Uniquely developed by Marantz, the DV8300 utilizes dual
copper HDAMs for all channels. The HDAM comprises of
3 copper-shielded, fully discrete output stages with low
noise Ð surface mounted - independent components and
short signal paths. This results in an extremely fast slew rate
to achieve a much more dynamic, accurate and detailed
sound. The DV8300 features extensive use of unique hand-
selected components, like premium capacitors and a
shielded dedicated main power transformer.

rigid chassis for minimal
disturbance from electro-
magnetic radiation. The
DV8300 design incorpo-
rates a precision disc
mechanism which provides a stable, glitch free playback
along with fast disc access.
Ultimate versatilityThe DV8300 is capable of playing SACD, DVD Audio and
DVD Video discs with Dolby Digital and DTS surround
sound in either 2 channel or multi channel format. It also
plays DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, CD-audio discs and is
compatible with MP3 formats.
The DV8300 comes with a full-function remote control,
capable of controlling the convenience features such as
OSD and NTSC playback on a PAL TV, allowing full multi
regional compatibility. This is the player that realizes the
real meaning of -multi mediaÕHome Entertainment.
